WORKSHOP 186 - Hands On Integration Ideas for the MicroBit LIMITED

Learn how to engage elementary learners with problem-solving by developing hands-on classroom activities and projects using the MicroBit. Using the pocket-sized programmable board, participants will explore how to introduce students to programing using Microsoft Makecode. See how quick and easy it is to develop cross-curricular computing units that link computer science fundamentals with subjects like science, language arts, math, and more. This workshop is designed for upper elementary classroom (3rd-5th Grades), but is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about computational thinking practices. Participants will be provided with the following resources: A guide to Computational Thinking Practices, sample MicroBit Integration ideas, lesson resources, tutorials, and projects ideas.
